Welcome to my website! My name is Michael Lawrence, I am a father and grandfather now (oh my!) a 45+ something husband and for the last 4 years a quilter.
My wife and I are empty-nesters. We have 7 wonderful children between us and four Grandchildren. Looking back on why I started quilting in the first place I can’t quite put my finger on it. I suppose having such a wonderful creative outlet and my deep love for quilts in general have to be mentioned.
I remember the first quilt I ever used from my favorite aunt. It was a beautiful (at least to me) patchwork flannel quilt that I dearly loved every time I wrapped it around myself.

Congratulations to Your hobby.
So interesting. In Finland, I think, we do not have male quilters. My wife who has been quilting many years, but at this moment she is beading and me, we visit here in every bigger quilt shows. My hobby is photographing, I am amateur, and I shoot photos for my wife from these shows.
Quilting is creative hobby; it requires many other skills which some people have, some not.

Hello Michael. My name is Ronda. I while back I purchased blocks for the JoAnn Fabrics quilt, Persian Plum quilt. They were on clearance so I have not been able to get a setting kit 😦 I have however been able to purchase some of the co ordinating fabric 🙂 I was thinking in my search for a setting kit that your website came up. I think if I could see instructions and piece sizes I can figure it out. I was hoping that you might at least have the instructions for the setting kit and be willing to share. Thanks for any help you can give me.
